Sterling Silver Care

Why?

Your silver jewelry may tarnish over time. This is a natural oxidation process. Silver jewelry typically consists of silver and a non-noble metal, such as copper or tin, to make the jewelry stronger. Therefore, non-pure silver oxidizes when exposed to several elements, including moisture (water, sweat). This is inevitable, but not irreversible.

How to clean your silver jewelry and remove the black layer?

  • Baking soda: Mix water and baking soda well to form a paste. Gently rub the tarnished jewelry with your hands. Then rinse and wipe it.
  • Silver cloth: This product will determine how well it works.
  • Toothpaste: Use toothpaste and rub it with your fingers. Then rinse with water and wipe it (my favorite method).
