Wood and resin necklaces

 

The wood of these very beautiful pendants comes from the shores of Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron. It is the largest freshwater island in the world. Manitoulin means "Island of the Spirits" in Ojibwe. It was considered a sacred place for Indigenous peoples.
